I guess everyone's too busy for blogging, but I'll keep this site open a while longer on the off-chance it provides a means of encouragement for some.
As we all embark on Hope2008 I wondered if anyone wanted to share their Christmas highlights?
We've had a good Christmas here in Failsworth - good attendances throughout the advent season and a really busy Christmas Day programme. I'll just pick two highlights:
- a man who came for lunch on Christmas Day and has now started attending Sunday worship. (Well one out one so far!)
- a lady who found her way into our New Year's Eve watchnight service. Never been to our church before, in great distress, and not quite sure why she was there (Amen to that!). Not the first time someone has wailed all the way through one of my sermons - but what a privilege that God sends people who need Him our way. Please pray for Cindy and please pray that the Lord will use the community at Failsworth to be of lasting help to her.
